I was at the Le May museum in Tacoma, WA today for the unveiling of their newest exhibit: 60 Years of Corvette. There was a great selection of Corvettes ranging from 1953 to 2013, but what was really exciting were the three rare concepts on loan from the GM Heritage Collection: the 1959 Stingray, 1961 Mako Shark, and the 1969 Manta Ray. They're only on display through Sunday as they are on their way to Pebble Beach. Both the Stingray and the Mako Shark are epically beautiful and the Manta Ray is downright mean looking. So here are some photos of the three for your enjoyment and if you are within reasonable distance of Tacoma I highly recommend checking out the display (and rest of museum) ASAP! Or if you're a lucky bastard and have the change to be at Pebble Beach this year (did I mention what a lucky bastard you are?) I say make sure not to miss these! *Please excuse the quality of the photos... I most definitely am not a qualified photographer and shot these with my handy-dandy iPhone.*

Holy Shit!! That Sting Ray is one of the most gorgeous cars I've ever seen.

That was a good show. Thanks. The Stingray, Mako Shark and Manta Ray were spectacular. Hat tip to you for the fine post. I phone or whatever, we rarely get to see such gems. I'll take them.
